Hollow titanium bars is also a kind of titanium tube.It is different with titanium tubes because usually this hollow titanium bars have smaller ID with very large wall thickness or Very large ID with very small wall thickness.The normal titanium tubes are all with media OD and media wall thickness which are rolled out.

So if customers have higher demands on the wall thickness and ID when the rolling tubes can't reach,then the hollow titanium bar can do.

They are not produced out by Rolling,they are by deep hole drilling.This kind of technology can drill one titanium bar to be a hollow bar which have very small ID with large wall thickness and Large OD with small wall thickness.

This technology also solved the problem that Grade 5 titanium tubes.Because at present,the Grade 5 titanium alloy tube can't be rolled out,so deep hole drilling technology can produce titanium Grade 5 tubes out.

But one problem is that the hollow titanium bars have higher prices because of its higher machining fees.And also the length will be not very long.

Titanium Alloy Gr 5 Ti6Al4V (Ti64) is the most widely used titanium alloy which is also heat treatable. Gr 5 is also classed as an alpha-beta alloy and most widely used in high strength applications including aerospace, offshore, marine and power generation.
